The billing department is inefficient. It took me a year to have them correctly provide coding for testing done. In speaking with others it seems to be a high occurance. People have that experience time after time that they give up trying to resolve the issues and either pay what insurance should pay or, if they cannot afford to pay it, let it go to collection. People need to speak with their insurance companies, Medicare, or Medicaid, which ever healthcare plan they have in order to be aware of the issue.
Nice people usually but not the best help unless it's very basic.
